Crazy Lace Agate- Moth Cuff

During the design process for this shapeable cuff, I began with the small teardrop shaped agate. I knew that I wanted the stone for the body of the moth. Although I am referring to the carving as a moth, it was actually modeled after the Common Buckeye butterfly.

When working on the painting portion the goal was to incorporate more subdued tones to highlight the stone, rather than outshine it.

Each cuff has an aluminum band inside the cuff allows for a comfortable form fit almost any size wrist. They are made somewhat “loose” so that the owner can decide how it is to be worn. Keep in mind, that the more you bend back and forth the weaker the metal can get. The backside of the cuff is a black and supple latigo leather.
